Coming from Points North via Interstate 93 South
From I 93 South, take Exit 26 (not accessible from the carpool lane) for “Storrow Drive / Cambridge / Route 28 / Route 3 North". On the ramp, stay to the right following signs for "28 North / Cambridge / North Station". As you approach a stoplight, proceed to the middle lane and turn left at the light, following signs for “The Museum of Science”. At the next light turn right onto "Route 28 North / Msgr. O’Brien Highway." Continue past the Museum of Science, which will be on your left. After two traffic lights, turn left onto Edwin H. Land Boulevard. Pass the Hotel Marlowe and CambridgeSide Galleria on right. Take a right at 1st light onto CambridgeSide Place. Take a right at 1st light onto First Street. Parking is available at the City of Cambridge Parking Garage, the entrance is on the left at Spring Street off First Street. One Canal Park is located across First Street, one block north at the intersection of First Street and Thorndike Street. Coming from Logan International Airport
From the main airport roadway, follow signs for “Route 1A / Sumner Tunnel / I 93 North”. Enter the Sumner Tunnel, and stay in the right lane. As you exit the Sumner Tunnel, veer right into the tunnel for Storrow Drive. Move to the left hand lane of this tunnel. As you exit this tunnel, stay to the left following signs for “Cambridge/28 North”. Proceed thru the traffic lights at Leverett Circle. This puts you on to the O’Brien highway (28 North). Coming from Points West via 90 East / Massachusetts Turnpike
From I 90 West / Massachusetts Turnpike, take Exit 18 for "Allston / Cambridge," a left exit. Go through the tollbooth and bear right, following signs for “Cambridge / Somerville”. Proceed through two sets of lights and go straight over the River Street Bridge, crossing the Charles River. Take a right on Memorial Drive East (A Mobile Gas Station will be in front of you). At the first split in Memorial Drive, stay in the left lane and proceed over a bridge marked "Cars Only." At the second split in the road, stay left again and go under a bridge marked "Cars Only". Move immediately into the right lane and veer right at the last split in the road. Proceed under the Longfellow Bridge. Memorial Drive now turns into Edwin H. Land Boulevard. Take a left on Cambridgeside Place (The Cambridgeside Galleria Mall is on the left). Take a right at 1st light onto First Street. Parking is available at the City of Cambridge Parking Garage, the entrance is on the left at Spring Street off First Street. Coming from Route 2
From Route 2 East follow signs for "Watertown/ Boston & Route 3." You will pass the Alewife Train Station on your right. At the first rotary stay left and continue on Route 3. At the second rotary, bear right and continue on Route 3. After approximately two miles you will come to an intersection. Follow signs for “Soldiers Field Road / Memorial Drive”.
Take a left on Memorial Drive East (The Charles River will be on the right). At the first split in Memorial Drive, stay in the left lane and proceed over a bridge marked "Cars Only." At the second split in the road, stay left again and go under a bridge marked "Cars Only"
Move immediately into the right lane and veer right at the last split in the road. Proceed under the Longfellow Bridge. Memorial Drive now turns into Edwin H. Land Boulevard

Coming from Route 1 South (Toll Road)
From Route 1 South, cross the Tobin Bridge and stay to the left through the tollbooth, following signs for "Boston / 93 South / Route 1 South". After one quarter mile, exit to the right for "28 North / 3 North / Storrow Drive / Cambridge." At the end of the ramp, stay to the right and follow signs for "28 North / Cambridge / North Station". Using the MBTA (Subway) Green Line
Take a Green Line MBTA train to Lechmere Station. Exit the train and follow signs to Cambridge Street (crossing under the elevated rail). Cross Cambridge Street at the crosswalk light, and continue directly ahead onto First Street. One Canal Park is on the left hand side of First Street

** NOTE: Until winter 2005, Green Line service to and from Lechmere Station will be replaced with a bus shuttle. The MBTA recommends that Green Line riders transfer at Government Center Station and Orange Line riders transfer at Haymarket Station. Green Line riders can use Haymarket for a fully accessible transfer. Be sure to get a transfer ticket, either before you exit the station (rail-to-bus) or when you pay the bus driver (bus-to-rail.)
